for a week of fellowship, Bible teaching, and fun at the spectacular CAMP-of-the WOODS
in Upstate New York for the Christian Union Summer Getaway. Due to the pandemic we have not finalized a date for our next Getaway. Check this site for more information.

A TYPICAL CU SUMMER GETAWAY DAY >
Christian Union partners with the camp during week four of its regular summer program. Morning chapel services feature great teaching and phenomenal worship. Christian Union also provides several special sessions and outings for its guests. The afternoons are free for guests to explore the wide range of activities that the camp has to offer.

The Summer Getaway includes a full slate of activities and speakers. The main chapel speaker in 2019 was Colin S. Smith.
Colin S. Smith is an evangelical pastor and author currently serving as the Senior Pastor of The Orchard Evangelical Free Church in Illinois where he has been since 1996. Pastor Smith was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland and trained at the London School of Theology. Prior to his time with The Orchard Evangelical Free Church, he served as pastor of Enfield Evangelical Free Church in London for 16 years. Smith brings a strong emphasis on God’s Word and brings passion to help the church develop a vision for the future, including training younger preachers.
Also, we were pleased to have Eric Metaxas spend time with our guests in 2019.
Eric Metaxas is a #1 New York Times bestselling author, the host of a nationally-syndicated radio program (the Eric Metaxas Show), and a highly sought-after speaker. This will be Eric's second year with us, and his talks last summer were a highlight for many of the Summer Getaway attendees.
Speakers
Alumni, friends of the ministry, parents, financial partners, prayer partners, others affiliated with Christian Union, and any others who care deeply about the development of Christian leadership for the nation are invited to attend. Though Christian Union does host student conferences, the Summer Getaway is dedicated to an audience ranging from recent college graduates to parents and grandparents and their children. The camp sponsors dozens of fun activities and adventures for families and kids.
